The Jeppiaar Educational Trust aims at the imparting of technical education to the aspiring youth of India. The St.Joseph's College of Engineering under the aegis of Jeppiaar Educational Trust was instituted in the year 1994 in accordance with general policy of the Government of Tamil Nadu, it gives high priority to Technical Education in order to meet the growing demands of trained Engineers to various industrial and development projects in Tamil Nadu and rest of India.

The Institution has been declared as a Christian Minority Institution by appropriate authorities.

ADMINISTRATION

The Jeppiaar Educational Trust is headed by Thiru. Jeppiaar M.A., B.L., former leading politician of Tamil Nadu under Ex-Chief Minister of Tamil Nadu late Dr.M.G.Ramachandran. Thiru. Jeppiaar has now dedicated himself to technical education. Our aim is to bring St.Joseph's College of Engineering a model Engineering Institution with disciplined student community and in this endeavor we have succeeded.

FACULTY

Consistent with high standard of excellence aimed by the institution, the faculty comprises a team of carefully selected and highly qualified persons who have a proven record of meritorious accomplishment to their credit. We have more than 30 Doctorates and large number of Post Graduates specialized in various disciplines, who have extensive Industrial and teaching experience. The staff strength is according to the norms prescribed by AICTE.

LOCATION & INFRASTRUCTURAL FACILITIES

The College is situated at Jeppiaar nagar, 12 Kms, South of Adayar, Chennai on the Old Mamallapuram road. The campus spreads over an area of 70 acres and has 7.4 Lakh Sq.ft. of infrastructural area built in RCC which include class rooms, drawing halls, laboratories, workshops, library and other associated facilities.
